Nobody Bod Owens who is the only live person in the graveyard. Mr. And Mrs. Owens, a kind, ghostly couple who never had a child of their own. WHO IS IN THE STORY The Man Jack who has evil on his mind. The Inhabitants of the Graveyard

The story takes place In the graveyard.

At the beginning of the story, The Man Jack, sneaks into Bod’s house when he is just a baby. The Man Jack has evil intents, but Bod manages to escape. He crawls down the road into the village graveyard, and is cared for by a ghostly couple who are happy to finally have child. As Bod grows up in the safety of the graveyard, he soon discovers that The Man Jack has not given up on his evil intents.

My comments Neil Gaiman was successful at maintaining the tension and suspense that was introduced at the beginning of the story. Throughout my reading, I wondered what The Man Jack would do next, and how Bod would successfully rid himself of this evil danger. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves mystery, thrills, and suspense!!!!

Neil Gaiman is famous for his books of mystery and suspense. Besides The Graveyard Book, Neil Gaiman has also written Coraline which was made into a movie. Neil Gaiman was born and raised in England. He now lives near Minneappolis, Minesota. You can hear the Graveyard Book read by Neil Gaiman at www.mousecircus.com. Neil Gaiman
