Spelling Passport Y2 Spring

Instructions Choose one activity per week to practise your spelling list and colour in the box in when complete.

Play a spelling themed board game at home. Games Play a spelling themed board game at home. This could be Scrabble, Boggle or Bananagrams. Can you spell out your spelling words? If you haven’t got a spelling themed board game at home, make up your own spelling game Super Sentences Create sentences using your spelling words. Make sure you have a capital letter and full stop. Challenge: Can you use a question mark or exclamation mark? Can you use when, if that or because? Arty Write out your spellings using different pens, pencils or materials. You could even fill a tray with salt and write them with your finger or go to the beach and write them in the sand. Magnetic Letters Use magnetic letters on your fridge to make the words. If you have not got any magnetic letters, create your own letters from paper, card or any other material you can think of! Handwriting Write each spelling out 10 times in your best joined handwriting. Word Stairs Choose one of your spelling words. Write the first letter. Underneath it write the first two letters and underneath that, write the first three letters. Keep going until you have the whole word at the bottom.
