Using your randomly selected fairy tale combined with your randomly selected genre… Create an image that accurately reflects both. People should automatically know what the fairy tale is without being told, yet your genre should be clearly evident.

Red riding hood is an excellent example, as it’s a tale that’s been told many times and many ways.

Think about your stylistic approach as well… realistic cartoony painterly graphic etc.

Your illustration may include material you have drawn, but must also include at least some photography. At least half the image should be material you have photographed yourself… including the main subject of the illustration.

Some additional “inspirational” materials… You may trade genre and fairy tales or you may work in groups of 2 if you so choose…
