Presentation transcript:

Hi girlfriends!! How many ladies present over here are married? Please raise your hands. [Show of hands]   Cool. Now, how many of you have kids? Please raise your hands. [Show of hands] Wow! So many! Ok. Now, I would like to ask those of you who are unmarried, how much time do you spend only for yourself? Maybe meeting up with friends, having a quiet cup of coffee, movies, night-outs, parlour, reading, etc. It could be anything, any activity that you do to enjoy yourself, that you like to do, with no questions asked from anybody…  Can you please tell us what do you do? [A few answers from the audience] Very cool! Now, we would like to ask the married ladies. Please tell us the time you spend on yourself. And please, do not include the time spent with your husband, however much enjoyable that is! Include the activities you enjoy on your own, or those you carried over from before your marriage. Do you people notice the difference in the answers? What do you think is the reason for this difference? [Answers from the audience] Increased responsibility, yes. Increased workload. Expectations from family members. So, basically, what are we doing here? As we move on in life, we are putting our family members and their comfort ahead of us, because we want to have a happy family with us. Absolutely correct & valid thinking, with one teeny-tiny flaw! We will come to that in a short while. Let us watch one beautiful video first.

How the small girls run and how big girls run – and why puberty has changed their way of running. Role of a woman – how it goes on changing from a small girl playing langdi and lapachhapi to doing everything to make her house a home. Somewhere, during this transition, we start losing the importance of spending time with ourselves. Our increasing responsibilities, our job, home, in-laws, kids… we need energy and enthusiasm to manage all this on a daily basis. How will you retain this enthusiasm? You need to recharge your batteries, in order to bounce back into the responsibilities with the same zest every day. The same way, a machine needs to be calibrated every few days, we also need to stop and rejuvenate ourselves. The small girl which is still in there somewhere – we feel connecting with that child is extremely important – this can be done only in your time that ‘me time’.

One good friend mentioned that when we think of guys group movies which ones do we remember – Dil chahata hai, Zindagi Milegi na Dobara – all fun movies right? But when we try and think of Gals friends movies which ones do we remember – Pink? Page 3? Why the serious tone? What the heck – we can also have great fun!! So let’s have some fun, danga together. Our club does not have an age bar – if you think you need to grab that me time – FF is the answer.

So, what exactly is FF, and what does it include? FF Club, or Femme Fiesta Club is an annual membership program, containing a bouquet of offerings, for creating metime on a daily basis as well as on monthly basis. This includes online content like blogs and checklists, Monthly Meets, online contests, Help Pool, etc. FF is about creating me time and having fun activities during that me time – but mostly it is about meeting face to face and reaching out to others. How many times do you feel that you can create an oasis at home at least for a few minutes where no one will disturb you? Does that happen – most of the times, no. We all need that space, our corner – which is very difficult most of the times to bring to life at home. So this is what we will be doing when we meet monthly – we will be giving you your corner, you can do whatever you can with it. Part of the activities would be structured, where we will plan something amazing for you – rest of it would be up to you – what you do with your time. So, you will get your own corner to read a book, you will get a corner to chat with your friends, or do some doodling, painting. If you feel like writing, get your creative juices flowing. Of course, we know right now we cannot meet daily – so we would be chatting with you through our page, /ffclub, and our group on Facebook, Femme Fiesta Club. We have a website – www.femmefiestaclub.com. Please check out the website for cool stuff to read and implement in daily life. We will also be having fun contests, polling, and will ensure you get that push to get some daily me time. We would be introducing awards for the online contests – so keep participating, and keep adding your friends to the group. The key is to make that time for yourself at least for a short while every single day. To summarise, FF includes Monthly Meets, including some cool DIY workshops/sessions like kitchen gardening, dancing, painting, personal grooming, garage lessons, etc., online content like blogs, which include funky girl stories, 30-minute meal plans, Travel Tuesdays, etc., checklists to organize your time, fun online contests, and lots more… 

If you believe this concept, if you like it, please come and talk to us. We would be more than happy to answer your questions, and discuss with you. We would like to end with another beautiful video, that talks about celebrating being a woman. Please enjoy!
