Why Have I chosen This Career? My Mom has been in this field of work my whole life. My Dad has always spoken very highly of this profession. I will have the opportunity to positively impact the lives and future of many.

Career Description An elementary teacher’s main duty is to provide their students with knowledge of valuable information that they will likely use for the rest of their lives. Their other duties include: Identifying students learning behaviors Help students learn standards and prepare them for state required standardized tests Supervise children and correct any behavioral issues Grade assignments Keep parents informed

Basic Salary and Benefits The average elementary teacher in Georgia is paid about $53,750 Benefits: Health and Dental Life Insurance Contribution toward a retirement fund
