My Georgia Road Trip 75 You and your partner are taking a “virtual” road trip across Georgia. You will plan where you want to go using the sites provided on my blog. On your trip, you must include: Visit THREE state parks, each must be in a different geographical region. You will use 4- 5 sentences to describe: The parks relative location Activities offered Description of physical features. Our first stop will be Fort Yargo State park. It is located in the Piedmont Region between the cities of Atlanta and Athens. We are going to go hiking on the 20.5 miles of trails and stay overnight in the lakeside yurt. In the morning we are going to go kayaking and fishing on the 260 acre Fort Yargo Lake. We are going to take a tour with the park Naturalist who will tell us about the park’s history and wildlife. Before leaving will visit the historical log fort built by settlers for protection against the Creek and Cherokee Indians. You will visit TWO cities. Use the city’s government website to describe The city’s relative location Marietta is about 20 minutes north of Atlanta THREE activities that you will do while you are there (historical sites, museums, festivals, architecture, etc.) While in Marietta, I will visit several historical Civil War locations including…. To get to a city’s website type in “City of ____.gov” in the search engine. Choose ONE famous Georgian, dead or alive, that you would like to meet. Explain where you would meet them, why you would like to meet this person and what you would like to talk to them about at your meeting.
