How the civil war start How did the civil war start ? The civil war officially began on April 12, 1861 when Confederate forces bombarded the Union controlled Fort Sumter in Charleston Bay

How long the was the war When was the war fought and how long it lasted ? The civil war was fought between 1861 and 1865 and lasted 5 years

How many people died How many people died in the civil war? Though the number of killed and wounded in the Civil War is not known precisely, most sources agree that the total number killed was between 640,000 and 700,000, broken down with over 360,000 Union soldiers and over 260,000 Confederate soldiers .
