START Top Class 2: A musical journey exploring This is the Bear and This is the Penguin. Key skills: listening, performing and composing Week 1: Use voice sounds to tell the story of ‘We’re going on a bear hunt’. Create voice and instrumental sounds for the grass, river or mud. Week 2: Describe different voice sounds. Imitate Antarctic sounds with voices and instruments. Week 4: Create word rhythms from penguin or bear facts. Week 5: Practice own song for the Christmas play and add a beat. Week 3: Listen to a piece of music and describe if it is happy or sad. Experiment with happy and sad sounds. Week 6: Perfect own class song for the Christmas play and play associated patterns. WELL DONE – you have reached the journey’s end! FINISH
