Report on the evaluation of the National Youth Strategy 2009–2013* Overall recommendations: Improve RBM and monitoring system Improve coordination mechanism in the youth sector Improve national system for collecting data on youth for evidence-based policies (align it to the EU dashboard on youth) *The report was developed at the request of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Moldova with the assistance of UNFPA, and the financial support UNDESA

4 priorities of the Strategy: National Strategy for Youth Sector Development 2020 G.D. nr.1006 from 10.12.2014 VISION - developing, enhancing and recognizing youth sector as a stakeholder in the country development process, which will ensure the socio-economic integration of youth. 4 priorities of the Strategy: Youth participation Services for youth Economic opportunities for youth Strenghtening the youth sector Results and targets are established for each priority.

STRATEGY IMPLIMENTATION, MONITORING AND EVALUATION The former Ministry of Youth and Sports created a Refference Group - with a monitoring role in the Strategy implementation process, exercising periodical evaluation of the implementation, fostering advocacy and dialogue with the responsible actors in the Strategy implementation process. The refference group consists of central public institutions and civil society representatives. During the Strategy implimentation will be developed an intermediate independent evaluation for assessing the objectives set for 2017-2018 years. Results on the Strategy implimentation will be issued on a bases of a final, independent assessment of the youth sector, as well on the achieved results on each strategic priority and of the Strategy as a whole.

STRATEGY IMPLIMENTATION, MONITORING AND EVALUATION an implementation report of the Strategy is presented annually to the Government, at the end of March National consultant to support youth policy development and monitoring process of the implementation of the National Strategy for Youth Sector Development 2020 of the Republic of Moldova
