SU has a new space at Washington Middle School SU has a new space at Washington Middle School! These are exciting times. We now have a dedicated space for our day time one-one-one mentoring, our after school program, and will now be able to host parents and families in the space to build and strengthen community. BUT……

We truly need your help in designing the space We truly need your help in designing the space. You should know the history of our new location. Was once used as the in school suspension room There is some negative association with our room We want to change this!

Our room currently looks like this (more or less): We’d like new furniture all around and the sink area, which is difficult to see here, needs some TLC

Our room currently looks like this (more or less): The desks are no longer in the room. This is to show the closet space in more context. We’d like to do some SU branding on the outward facing wall. Also, the flag is gone. This is a closet space w/o a door We’d like to use this space as storage

So what would we like from your team? Keep reading  Our room currently looks like this (more or less): Just to show the front of the room a bit So what would we like from your team? Keep reading 

Who will use our space? Middle school and SU students Families We desire for the space to be welcoming and safe for students, families, and staff. We want students and families to feel ownership of the space, so we need help with….

We have: Permission from the district to make the changes A budget of $35,000 to $50,000 Notes from our meeting with folks from SU regarding furniture and painting (see next slide) Endless gratitude for your time and insight 
