Top Class 1: A musical journey exploring The Owl Babies START Top Class 1: A musical journey exploring The Owl Babies Key skills: listening, performing and composing Week 1: Learn a chorus of a song about ‘The Owl Babies’. Play an owl beat and add to the song. Week 2: Learn the rest of the ‘Owl Babies’ song. Play an owl rhythm and add to the song. Week 4: Talk about the kinds of sounds you made last week by listening to the recordings. Use instruments to describe the wood sounds. Week 5: Practice own song for the Christmas play and add a beat. Week 3: Make different kinds of voice sounds. Think of the kinds of sounds the owls might hear and make them with voices. Record. Week 6: Perfect own class song for the Christmas play and play associated patterns. WELL DONE – you have reached the journey’s end! FINISH
