Statistics from the Swedish National Forest Inventory Yearly countrywide statistics from the Swedish forests

Description of the statistics The Swedish NFI is part of Official Statistics of Sweden. Definition: The Official Statistics Act states that official statistics are statistics for public information, planning and research purposes. Official statistics shall be objective and made available to the public. Further, they are to be produced and published in a manner that protects the privacy of individuals and companies. (Law 2001:99). Inventory basis (year 2003) 11 900 sample plots. 9 700 of these are inventoried in the field. 95 000 calipered trees. 12 800 sample trees.
