THE CLIENT: FMP is a well established player in the UK healthcare market, providing formulation services, packaging design solutions and clean room based contract packing for both ethical and OTC healthcare products for over 20 years. The Company has developed its own brand of pharmaceutical topical preparations in conjunction with its partner suppliers and supplied under a variety of trade names. THE BRIEF: To advise on the strategy to introduce a new product to the ‘over the counter’ pharmaceutical market, with the schedule of activities to focus around the opportunity for a trade launch at the national Pharmacy Show.

What were the issues? Explore possibility of selling an established product into a new market – Veterinary Need to research an unknown market to establish viability of promotion Similar products in existence but unaware if competitors moving into different markets Our Challenges From research and analysing initial target market, quickly established that there was another more viable market to penetrate To create a PR and marketing strategy to ensure the correct market was reached To create a brand image that the target market would identify with and become instantly recognisable To deliver the PR and marketing strategy to target markets on time, within budget and to specification To maximise sales potential of the product and help client to reach their target units
