Nitrogen is an element that is essential to life: it is cycled from the atmosphere to living things and back to the atmosphere.

Nitrogen in the atmosphere enters soil and is broken down by bacteria Nitrogen in the atmosphere enters soil and is broken down by bacteria. The bacteria break down the nitrogen in a form that is usable and can be absorbed by the roots.

There are various things that nitrogen can be used for; it can be used by animals for growth or it can be used by plants for productivity.

Water is a simple molecule that is also cycled through the atmosphere; water is absorbed through the soil.

During the chemical reaction, the water molecules are broken down into oxygen atoms and released into the atmosphere.

Soil contains decomposers, such as bacteria and fungi which also help to break down decayed biomass.

This process produces thermal energy, gases and simple molecules.

An environment contains decomposers, consumers, and producers that interact with each other.

They also serve to move matter within the various living systems in predictable cycles. One of the essential ingredients in a life cycle is carbon; it comes in many forms.

Carbon enters the leaves of plants, and it is used in the process of photosynthesis to make glucose.

An example of the cycle of carbon is when animals breathe and carbon dioxide is released into the air.

Then when the animals die, the carbon from the glucose of their bodies is broken down by decomposers.

This carbon is returned to the soil so it can be used by other microorganisms.
