German Federation of Industrial Research Associations The Network Ministry German Federation of Industrial Research Associations Funding Agency 102 industrial research associations of various industry sectors Food & Drinking Sector: >> 130 associated research institutions >> approx. 5.000 enterprises Network of industry & academia performing research

Method: Collective Research  Innovation Network for the food and drinking sector in Germany, esp. SMEs Method: pre-competitive collective research Features: - projects generated in a bottum-up approach - applied industrial research related to practice (economic added value) - research organisations  research provider SME / industry  project monitoring - dissemination and transfer is organised by both - projects proposed and coordinated by the FEI

Project performance research organisation project project monitoring group (industry) functions: - execution of the project - periodical reporting - transfer of knowledge - advise and support to implement project results results functions: - steering of the projects by milestones (regular meetings) - discussion and utilization of intermediate results - co-decision of conceptual changes in the project, mode of transfer and dissemination of results, time of publication - assisting broad and efficient knowledge transfer dissemination & transfer pilot installations and productions staff exchange ----- publications advisory services conferences, seminars and workshops integration of multipliers industrial implementation
