Role of QA in I&T Complete incoming receiving inspections per LAT- TD-02797 Review I&T MGSE and EGSE Document facility readiness and continue weekly audits for compliance Develop and approve I&T procedures, work orders, and process improvements

NCR Process All nonconformances will be documented in the SLAC GLAST Nonconformance Reporting System Nonconformances are to be documented promptly SLAC QA will segregate or identify nonconforming material or hardware until nonconformance is dispositioned All nonconformance reports shall have complete, concise problem identification, cause and corrective action

Nonconformance Reporting process The assigned LAT Quality Engineer will coordinate appropriate MRB activities based on classification of nonconformance Emphasis will be placed on working with applicable I&T Engineer throughout disposition effort All rework must be documented on approved rework work order Dispositions explain what actions will be taken or what information will be researched to resolve a nonconformance. The disposition also serves as a means to record information discovered as a result or inspections or troubleshooting actions. QA will assure that appropriate actions are taken to correct the discrepancy and return the product to an acceptable state

LAT Material Review Board (MRB) LAT MRB Charter Review material that does not conform to standards Determine disposition(s) Drive the development of effective corrective action to prevent recurrence It is the goal of the LAT MRB to reach unanimous decisions for all NCR dispositions. All final dispositions will be documented on the NCR Determine root cause of nonconformance Assign action to prevent recurrence Document and retain NCR records Determine if overstress analysis is required Monitor MRB process for continuous improvement

Open Liens to flight hardware 1.  CAL power consumption at low temperatures exceeds allocation. 2.  CAL baseplate planarity fails to meet IDD spec. 3.  CAL energy range - individual CDEs do not meet the high energy limit of 100 GeV.
