BRIEF HISTORICAL INFORMATION Legal status: INTERNATIONAL SAKHAROV ENVIRONMENTAL INSTITUTE OF BELARUSIAN STATE UNIVERSITY BRIEF HISTORICAL INFORMATION 20 October, 1992 - the Decree of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus on the establishment of the International Sakharov College of Radioecology (ISCR). The College was created with the purpose to solve problems of minimizing the consequences of the global Chernobyl disaster. 1994 - ISCR was transformed into International Sakharov Institute of Radioecology (ISIR). 1999 - ISIR was transformed into International Sakharov Environmental University (ISEU). 2015 - ISEU was transformed into International Sakharov Environmental Institute of Belarusian State University

ISEI BSU is the base organization of the CIS member states on environmental education (decision of the Council of Heads of Government of the Commonwealth of Independent States of 25 November 2005) As at 01.05.2017, the Public Council of the base organization of the CIS member states on environmental education includes 19 representatives of higher education institutions and scientific organizations from the CIS countries: Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan

Separate educational projects: YEREVAN BRANCH The Yerevan branch provides the first stage of higher education training in correspondence form in the specialty: 1-33 01 05 Medical Ecology Duration of training - 5 years Training is provided in Russian Admission is based on the results of the Russian language, biology and chemistry interview The interview is conducted annually from 20 to 25 October Currently, the Yerevan branch accommodates 72 students on the 1-4 courses

Separate educational projects: "MEPhI-project" Federal Nuclear Research University "MEPhI" offers special additional educational programs for ISEI BSU students on specialties: 1-31 04 05 Medical physics 1-100 01 01 Nuclear and Radiation Safety Students who graduate from these specialties after the end of the first year at ISEI BSU have the opportunity to enroll in the first course at MEPhI and continue to study simultaneously in both education establishments: in full-time studies at ISEI BSU and distance studies in MEPhI. Upon completion of the training, the students will simultaneously receive BSU and MEPhI diplomas 22 students are studying on joint educational programs

Separate educational projects: "RUDN-projects" Within the framework of the Agreement on Cooperation in the field of science and education between the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia (RUDN) and ISEI BSU: The project of joint training of foreign citizens for admission to universities is being implemented; The joint educational program of the second stage on the specialty "Landscape Design and Urboecology" was developed, after which trainees obtain two diplomas. The launch of the program is scheduled for 2018.

Separate educational projects: “Tajikistan-projects” Since 2016 within the framework of the joint institute of Tajik National University (TNY) and BSU in Dushanbe functions the Faculty of ecology-saving technologies of ISEI BSU. Education at the faculty is available in the specialties of the I stage of higher education: Energy Efficient Technologies and Energy Management Nuclear and Radiation Safety Medical-Biological Work Currently, the 2 + 2 model is being implemented. 128 students are studying on 1 - 2 courses.

Separate educational projects: “Tajikistan-projects” ISEI BSU and the Medical and Social College in Dushanbe have developed a joint educational program on the specialty "Medical Ecology" (correspondence shortened form of education). To implement this educational program, as well as to solve other tasks to promote the interests of the Institute in the region, a the ISEI BSU Representative office will be opened on the basis of the college as a self-financing unit of the Institute. Separate educational projects : NEW EDUCATIONAL PROJECT! “GEORGIA-project” Since 2017, within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding between ISEI BSU and Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University, a joint master program "Biomedical Diagnostics" (1 + 1 scheme) is being developed, after which trainees obtain two diplomas.
