Introduction and problem statement Digitalization has a strong increasing impact on knowledge, employment and freedom. Everyone in Austria should be able to benefit from the opportunities of the digital world, regardless of origin, gender, age or social class with a main emphasis on the youth to combat digital and social poverty in future (BKA, BMFWFW, 2017). The problem statement is to reach a higher level of social inclusion in the society by providing young people with knowledge in STEM-fields and giving a change to everybody to participate in a rapidly changing, technology driven world. Call for proposals, information and conditions The project proposal #MINKTyourmind was written for the Asylum-, Migration- and Integration fund (AMIF) with the topic to promote the swift integration of third country nationals into the labor market The proposal was submitted on 1st of March 2018 for AMIF-2017-AG-INTE Duration: 24 month, starting 01.01.2019 Total Project Budget: 747.000,-- , 673.000,-- requestet amount (90%) Consortium: link4view (AT), TU-GRAZ (AT), CIS (AT), „Architekturwerkstatt“ (AT), ACTA (RO), TENDER (IT)

Call for proposals, information and conditions Total call budget: 25.000.000 5 different call priorities with different aims and budgets #MINKTyourmind was submitted under priority 4: „Priority 4: Promote the swift integration of third-country nationals into the labor market through strengthened cooperation and mobilization of employers and social economic partners with a total budget of EUR 8.000.000”

Purpose/General #MINKTyourmind… ...is an innovative development that aims to provides all people with STEM based knowledge and education with a high consideration on those groups that are in high risk of exclusion and poverty in future. #MINKTYOURMIND is developed as an adaptable system with the power to include new innovations and needs any time by running circles. The core builds the development of a local “researcher’s station” that is compiled by partners of society, education and science following needs of society and economy. #MINKTYOURMIND is an interdisciplinary open project that delivers at the moment a new approach on STEM education in combination with integration and social inclusion

Purpose/specific to the call The main question of the Project #MINKTyourmind is, how heterogeneity, diversity and social inclusion can be impact- and future-oriented implemented in STEAM education. By integrating new approaches of language skills and arts on one side and to address main stakeholder (teachers, employees, pupils) with evaluation, information and outcomes contemporary and in a sustainable way by using digitalization and technique #MINKTyourmid is fostering the full integration of immigrants into society and labor market.

Labor market integration of immigrants Objective Labor market integration of immigrants future oriented and innovative STEAM based education including social- and language skills Providing NEETS (immigrants 16-30 years) with skills and competences for a swift labor market integration (short-term) Providing pupils on primary school level with skills and fostering increased interest in future employment fields of techniques and digitalizaiton (mid-term) Influencing the educationals sector by promoting new knowledge through MOOCs to various stakeholder groups (long-term)

Practical Implications In the local surrounding of Graz #MINKTYOURMIND will become an important player in the accompaniment of schools and educational sector as well in cooperation with the regional employment service of Styria and the chambers of commerce or industry. One of the main objectives of the online course is to distribute the project outcomes to further multipliers. Based on the workshops, short video clips will be created. Along with the produced learning content, the videos will be offered as a free and open-licensed online course. Lecturers, teachers and interested parties can take part in the course. With the knowledge gained, they can run their own workshops in the future As we expect a high number of participants, the course is proclaimed as massive open online course. The MOOC will be published on the Austrian MOOC-platform iMooX.at
