Outstanding order of magnitude and organization (integrated development program for handicapped youth; 13 countries, more than 200 participants, 25 volunteers). Integration at every level (the international group of WS youth were together with other handicapped and healthy youngsters of the parallel organized Hungarian special camp). Complex development system based on the newest WS specific scientific results. Particular success in the improvement of social, gross motor and fine motor skills. Colorful and diverse program. Besides the development, there was a big emphasis on the better understanding of the diversity of people and our common European culture, promoting their social integration. Our outstanding values 1.

The multiplication of the project is simple – the program can be continued in a similar way in different countries (this year in Sweden). Several experts joined the project from different countries to gain experience (some on their own costs). Our project initiated the increase of organizational level of several partners (e.g.: both Romania and Greece started to organize their WS associations, the Finnish group also wants to be legally registered). Flexible accommodation to solve minor daily problems – regular evening meetings improved the operation of the camp. Up-to-date methods to get public attention (internet, interviews, films, DVD). Our outstanding values 2.

Award of "One of the best European youth project of the last seven years" (Hungarian Office of the European Union). We are among the best 21 projects out of about 2500 winners of the approximately 5000 international EU grant applicants! Within our own category (Involving and development of handicapped youth), our program was considered to be the third best. Based on the above mentioned reasons, this program was nominated to the European Youth Week 2007 in Brussels, for the European Youth Award 2007! Efficiency

Many thanks to our supporters… …and similarly to the volunteers, experts, participants, photographers and cameramen! © HWSA, 2007
