EGTCs in Germany In Germany no legislation has been passed on the national level federal state competences for regulations and authorizations on behalf of local and regional authorities are on the level of the states (Lander) each state should disclose its competent authority for the authorization of EGCTs in Baden-Wurttemberg  District Government of Freiburg

EGTCs in Baden-Wurttemberg So far only one EGCT has been prepared and approved by our authority:  „Eurodistrict Strasbourg-Ortenau“ Members: municipality of Strasbourg in France and the Landkreis Ortenau in Germany with some of its municipalities together ammounting to one million inhabitants
