Code Activity Results Approved the continuity of fire barrier walls to the underside of a horizontal roof, slab or deck. Modified the smoke leakage rating to cumulative 50 cfm per 100 square feet Successful in eliminating the E119 language on perimeter fire barrier systems Requires fire blocking between unrated horizontal assemblies and curtain walls Established an L-Rating for Perimeter Fire Barrier Joint Systems

Education Committee Coordinated and presented dozens of Inspector Seminars to local Building and Fire Officials free of charge Targeting every registered Fire Department or District and their Building Departments for these Seminars Securing ICC CEU’s for attendees of the IFC Seminars Partnering with the ICC to create an Educational Tool on Chapter 7 of the IBC Encouraging Associate Members to host the IFC Inspector Seminars in their local jurisdictions.
