Why did we do this project? It was because we are all interested in fashion. So we decided to do this topic. We wanted to observe the relationship between Hong Kongs fashion trend and Hong Kong culture, also the influence of fashion on Hong Kongs culture.

One of the fashion capitals in the world. Every season there are many fashion shows held in France.

Many young fashion designers appeared. So the fashion at that time had many special designs.

Stress on colors and patterns. Use sharp colors e.g. red, yellow and green. The fashion styles are back to an old way like 1960s, 1970s.

We interviewed 202 people, and 65 of them are boys and 137 of them are girls.

We interviewed 202 people, and 65 of them are boys and 137 of them are girls. How do the interviewees choose their clothes?

People(Interviewees) opinion on clothing * Fashion of clothing marks the changes of the culture and society. *From the interview, we know some people do not care about the culture. They only follow the tidal current blindly. *Through the questionnaire, we know many people only think that the basic meanings of fashion are being beautiful, natural, and suitable. *Many people are often affected by stars, advertisements and magazines.

Most of the Hong Kong people follow other countries fashion trend like France and Japan. Hong Kong people are concerned about their appearances. Hong Kong is influenced by other countries culture such as Japan.

Foretell the coming 5years fashion trend

We estimate the designs and cutting will be very special. The materials will be light. These designs are just our estimations. They may not reflect the real fashion trend tendency.

Annie: After I finished this project, I'm very clear about the relationship between fashion and culture. During this project, I can learnt many things that I can't learn in books, like how to cooperate well with my group members, and I learnt more about fashion. It's very good for me to have this experience! Elva : After doing this project, I know more about fashion like the variations of the fashion. And I know about the fashion trend nowadays. This project increased my interest in fashion. I learnt more fashion styles in Hong Kong. Its a very good chance for me to learn about fashion. And we have to thank our teacher adviser Miss Tang. She gave many suggestions to us. Thank you Miss Tang.

Flora: At first, I started this project not very seriously and I didn'tt know how to finish the project. But I think it is very important to cooperate with other group members because I cant do all the things by myself and so it is very important. Yvonne: We chose this topic because we are all interested in fashion trends. During the process we met many difficult problems but with the help of the teacher adviser, we were able to get the solutions. I have learnt some life skills like decision-making, co-operation with others division of labour.
