Magnets are Used Every Day

Magnets Magnets are used every day. Sometimes we can see the magnets such as the ones we use on our fridge to hold papers.

Magnets Sometimes we cant see the magnets, but they are necessary for the object to work such as in a computers hard drive. Hard disks in a computer record data on a thin magnetic coating.

Transportation Magnets are used in some trains. The best known is the maglev. Maglev means magnetic levitation, which means the train is suspended, or lifted, above the rail by electro- magnetic force.

Jewelry Magnets can be used to make jewelry. Some necklaces and bracelets are made from a series of linked magnets.

Junkyards Magnets can be used to separate magnetic metals (iron, steel, and nickel) from non- magnetic metals such as aluminum cans.
