Presentation transcript:

Today in focus I made some designs for our tiles that will go on the pizza ovens. Mr hitchkins gave us some tiles to practise on and I had to paint over them with ?????????????????? For the paint to be able to stick Next week Im planning to use the design we first made as a base for our other designs. I also want to experiment with different patterns and shapes and eventually find which one we will use for the ovens.

Today was a productive day, first of all I got the practise tiles out of the shed and they were all ready to paint. I started with our sun design from the previos week. It was hard to add detail because the paint brushes were flat. Hopefully next week we will be supplied with thinner brushes. We used a dark blue paint on the white tiles and as I was painting different designs I started to use the other end of the brush to make smaller lines in the paint. I did a flower design with the opposite brush end which I quite liked, it was simple and easy to do. Next week we will choose which design we like best and gets some tiles that we will put on the oven.

Today we got new tiles and thinner paintbrushes. I went out to the shed and put on some more ???? On the new tiles but the problem was we forgot to wash the brushes from the previous week, so I boiled the keetle and put hot water to soften the bristles. While I waited for them to dry I went and helped plant some plants in the garden and we tested the watering system. I have chosen the design that we will use for the ovens. I am planning to put on a flower design which uses the back f the brush, and next to it I will put a tile with the blue paint sort of splattered on to it, it will does these in a patern.
