CP2077 Web Site Management Lecture 13 – Revision 12/8/2018

Exam Format Two Hour Exam Closed Book Five Questions, choose FOUR CHECK EXAM TIMETABLE - IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY

Revising Carefully select the parts of the module you are going to revise Make a timetable for revising Seek out the key points in each of the parts you are going to revise Condense the matter in to a few brief summarizing notes Think up some questions of your own Practise jotting down outline solutions to your questions Practise writing out some full answers against the clock Only revise ONE topic each day

General Advice Arrive at Exam Venue with 15 mins to spare Have several pens You may have small quantities of drink and sweets (no noisy wrappers please !) There is no need for calculators or other devices Switch off Mobile Phones, or have them confiscated for the duration

During the Exam Look for the questions you have prepared for If they are not there, do not panic ! Start writing soon, do not lapse in to a 'frozen' state Tackle your best question first, or second if you are brave As you work on a question:- examine the wording of the question carefully- quickly list the relevant points from your revision- sketch out an answer, moving to re-read the question carefully- plan your answer, before you start writing in earnest Consider planning later questions in advance

General Advice (2) Think about timing, do not over run too much (average 30 mins per question)If time runs out hand in your planned outline answer Write legibly - if the examiner can not read your writing they can not give you any marks Ensure you understand what the words “describe”, “list”, “discuss”, “explain” mean Do not leave early, use “spare” time at the end to review your answers
