How to Have a Safe Field Trip
Presentation transcript:

Their Finds All the things they find are sent off to the university to be checked. The most common thing to find is pottery. Sometimes you can make it fit together.

Our Second trip At first it was raining so we stayed inside. Then it stopped so we we went to the site. It was great fun even though it was throwing it down.

Our first trip The first trip we went to was the site where they were digging in the trenches we also got to see their finds.

Broadwood We followed a Ditch from a wall and it led further on to the same wall. Kev said it might have been a road.

The sive The soil that was brought out of the trenches was put into the sieve to see if they can find small objects.

Earthworks In the field there were humps and bumps but Kev said we have to call them earthworks. Kev always reminds us to call them earthworks not earthworms!

Digging They showed us the holes and told us about what they had found. They said they had found a layer of clay because it was sticky.

I really enjoyed learning about the past. It was very exciting! Hannah & Emilly
