Fakultätsforschungsschwerpunkt: “Mechanisms of Change“ (1) The mechanisms of change of multisensory and sensorimotor processes, affective, motivational and social cognitive functions are investigated. (2) The mechanisms of change are studied as a function of age, experience and context. (3) The mechanisms of change underlying individual differences and disorders as well as successful prevention and treatment are examined. (4) The mechanisms of change are applied to health science in particular in the context of self-regulation, stress coping, life style change and resilience. (5) The behavioral, cognitive and neural principles of the mechanisms of change are investigated with experimental techniques, partially combined with neuroscience, other psychophysiological, clinical as well as social science methods.
