The Top 10 Interview Questions

Don’t go into great detail. It is short and simple. Tell me about yourself. Don’t go into great detail. It is short and simple. Talk about accomplishments that are related to the job.

Why should we hire you? Be specific and brag about yourself. Convince them that you could be an attribute to their company.

What is your greatest strength? Describe a time that you excelled at something at school or work or both. Try to make it similar to what the business/company is looking for in a candidate.

What is your greatest weakness? DON’T BE TOO SPECIFIC! Don’t talk about things that sound negative. Talk about things at the positive weaknesses (i.e. I hate when I can’t finish a job.) If you decide to say something else, describe steps to correct the behavior (i.e. I sometimes have problems with not speaking my mind. I am trying to become more assertive.)

Why do you want to work here? DO YOUR RESEARCH ABOUT THE COMPANY! Say things that you like about the company (the more specific you are the better) Talk about their accomplishments and how you think you could contribute to them.

Why did you leave your last job? If you left voluntarily, state something the new company has that your last job didn’t have. If you were terminated, be honest about the situation and describe how you plan on fixing it. NEVER SAY BECAUSE YOU DIDN’T GET ALONG WITH MANAGEMENT!

what is your greatest accomplishment? Don’t make this up. Say something that you truly are proud of. It shows on your face. It’s preferred that it’s related to the company, but sometimes it’s okay to be somewhat personal. (keep it appropriate)

Describe a difficult work situation and what you did to overcome it. Come up with a situation that YOU solved! Be specific

Where do you see yourself in 5 years? Describe your goals in life Try to make it related to the company DO NOT OVER DO IT! (i.e. I want your job)

Do you have any questions for me? YES! YES! YES! Come to the interview prepared with questions you want answer during the interview. If they aren’t answer, then this is the time to ask them.
