Week of: March 5-9 **Third Grade News** Mrs. Kennedy’s News Mrs. Williams’ News Reading: We have finished up the research part of our biography unit. We will move into writing a rough draft and learning how to create an introduction. Students will also be learning about timelines and creating a timeline of important events from their person’s life. Writing: Creating rough drafts and using notes in chronological order to write a biography. Word Work: Next week students will be learning how the letter “w” can influence the vowel in a word. Check website for more information. Math: We will continue our unit on measurement. Science: We will be concluding our study of the solar system, stars and constellations. Please study this weekend for our upcoming test. Bible: As we continue our bible study in the book of Daniel, students will learn the importance of prayer and how God’s kingdom is the only kingdom that will never fall. Language: Students will continue to practice identifying parts of a sentence. We will also review types of verbs and editing skills. Book Fair! Tests and Projects The book fair will be here all next week. Please feel free to stop by in the morning or afterschool with your child to buy new reading material!
