Who should I target for free inspections? New businesses This is a great cold calling tool which targets your competitor’s service accounts. These are any accounts with which your dealership is not already doing service business. Who to contact Maintenance Manger Shop Foreman Safety Director If you are having trouble gaining access to a particular account, ask to see the Safety Director. This person is always willing to talk to anyone. He will also be more than willing to share with you who the decision makers are within his company.

How will this program help my dealership? Dealership Benefits Potential to gain Service accounts by pointing out subpar service by your competitors. Increased Parts revenue with sales from the inspection. Statistics show dealers who perform service at an account are 76% more likely to get the New Truck Sales business.

Inspection Who in our dealership performs the inspections? This program is designed to increase your dealership’s customer base. For this reason the Free Safety Inspections are offered by your CSS and Sales Staff. Service Technicians check these same safety items during PM service on your existing accounts.

How do I use the tools needed to perform a quality safety inspection?

Identifying your chain How do I use the tools needed to perform a quality safety inspection? Chain Wear Gauge Identifying your chain Method 1 - Look on the outside of the chain. The chain will be stamped on several links. For example it may be stamped BL6. Method 2- Measuring the pitch. Determine the Pitch of the chain Pitch is the measurement between two pins

How do I use the tools needed to perform a quality safety inspection? Chain Wear Gauge The Pitch will determine which scale will be used to measure stretch in the chain.

How do I use the tools needed to perform a quality safety inspection? Chain Wear Gauge Using the correct scale, center one end of the gauge on any pin of the chain. Use the same scale at the opposite end of the gauge to determine if the chain is worn. If the mark lines up with the chain pin it is over stretched and worn out.

Identifying your chain How do I use the tools needed to perform a quality safety inspection? Identifying your chain 6 X 6 2 X 3 4 X 6 2 X 2 8 X 8 3 X 4 4 X 4
