With a person next to you, share the objectives for today! Learning Targets: I can explain and describe what the scientific method is. Today’s Class I can create a hypothesis using the “if and then” format with IV & DV in mind. I can use the scientific method to test the claims of different products.

Bell Work How will you show to us that you have learned your learning targets? I can explain and describe what is the scientific method. I can write a hypothesis using the independent and dependent variable. I can test a product using the scientific method.

If you are done: Start testing the next liquid (oil or milk): Oil – you must test in beakers. Milk – you may test on the table. Must complete two liquids before the day is up.

If you are done with both: Write both lab activities on the second half of your composition notebook. Hypothesis is complete and “if, then because” format. Directions are thorough and completed with a simple drawing. Data tables and graphs have a title and are labeled. Concluding questions are answered thoroughly.

Learning Targets: How did you do these three (3) learning targets today? Be specific. I can explain and describe what the scientific method is. Today’s Class I can create a hypothesis using the “if and then” format with IV & DV in mind. I can use the scientific method to test the claims of different products.

HOMEWORK: LAB ACTIVITY – 2 of them (one for each liquid) due on Thursday. Comp Notebooks will be collected on Thursday.
