Flashcard Organization System By: Jennifer Nagy Michael Agius

Goals and Objectives System for the storage and retrieval of flashcards to aid a student in the organization of study materials. Reduce the clutter associated with the transportation and organization of standard 3x5 index cards.

Why would we want this? Index cards are hard to organize and transport. The more you have the easier it is to lose them. The same amount of data fit onto one disk.

What are the advantages? More efficient organization. –Better use of study time. Easier transportation. Can make backups of your information. –Copy one disk instead of manually re-writing each card.

What do I need to use this system? IBM/PC Compatible computer Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000 operating system Visual Basic 6.0 Runtime libraries. (included in the distribution)

The Flashcard Organization System Implemented using Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 Data stored using Microsoft Access. GUI driven system.

About the Development Process Rapid Application Development model. Visual Basic - its automated tools were used to facilitate construction of the software. Microsoft Access VB high interoperability. Reduced overall testing time since VB and Access components were already known to work well together.

What Can I Do With The System? Organize Cards Add card sets Add individual cards Delete Cards Navigate card sets Integrated HTML help system
