SHAMOS Qualification/Certification The Federal Election Commission (FEC) published voluntary standards for voting systemsstandards Many states have made the standards mandatory How to test against them? The National Association of State Election Directors (NASED) has authorized a small number of Independent testing authorities to qualify voting systemsNASED After qualification, most states have a certification process to verify that the system satisfies state law
