Intelligent Predictive Maintenance Solution based on Interactive Virtual Reality and Industrial Internet of Things Coherence (INPREMAS)

LEADING ORGANISATION PROFILE VIRTUALWARE is a business group of technology companies that specialize in the development of Hardware and Software solutions based on Immersive and Interactive technologies during more than 10 years with more than 50 people on staff serving to 240 clients and involved in many research projects at international level. CAPABILITIES Solutions Smart Interaction/Factory Medical Device Marketing & Promotion Digital Learning I+D+i Technologies Virtual & Augmented Reality Simulation Systems Integration Motion Capture Serious Games Sectors E-Health Industrial/Manufacturing Cultural Marketing/Tourism

PROPOSAL INTRODUCTION (I) Vision: Main goal of Intelligent Predictive Maintenance Solution based on Interactive Virtual Reality and Industrial Internet of Things Coherence (INPREMAS) project is to develop an interactive platform that allows intelligent monitoring in real time of manufacturing, maintenance and training processes for the industrial sector in real-time and remote supervision with high level of effectiveness. Motivation: There is an increasing necessity in real-time analysis and remote supervision of huge numbers of machines in factories to lower costs and increase performance. Enablement of predictive analytics, and integration of Virtual Reality tools and techniques will support many experts in the field with additional valuable information instantly and also provide connectivity to supervisors if more detailed knowledge is needed. This project will bring in a new solution to solve problems at this requirement set with better Human-Machine Interaction (HMI) through Augmented Reality technology, Real-time data analytics for maintenance. Content: - Software development for Maintenance Processes to analyze real-time with virtual reality glasses - Person-Machine Collaboration, including the enhancement of the role of people in manufacturing - Smart use of Industrial IoT and augmented reality - Real-time analysis of complex maintanence requirements -"Predictive Cost Calculation of Workload Distribution Between Alternative and Available Production Lines« - Enhancement of operations and process flows with visualization systems

PROPOSAL INTRODUCTION (II) Expected outcome: - A software solution platform collecting real-time data from vairous machines and using them for analysis to predict potential problems and performances to feed big databases for Maintenance Processes. - Using virtual and augmented hardware tools, virtual glasses for delvering real-time comprehensive information to field engineers and using these devices to connect remote supervisors with engineers. - Using existent sensors and adding new sensor networks to the environment to collect more calibrated data from the field. In order to do so, new IoT components will be designed if necessary. Impacts: The outcome will be a software platform, virtualware and new sensors as a solution. This solution will be used by any manufacturing plant to analyse real-time issues, to predict problems ahead and react faster. A partner of this project (Beycelik-Gestamp) has more than 100 plants worldwide and the use case will be implemented with this partner can also be taken to any manufacturing plant similarly. We expect to reach a wider market starting with Beycelik-Gestamp first. Schedule: Starting Date: 01.01.2019, End Date: 01.07.2020 Duration: 18 Months

CURRENT CONSORTIUM PARTNERS FourDotOne (TUR) is an R&D performing SME in industrial IoT for factories of the future with Industry 4.0. More than 20 people of staff, FourDotOne has enabled more than 10 customers and 50 manufacturing environments. This has provided them up to 50% gain in cost optimization and utilization. Around 6-12 months of ROI have been achieved throughout our projects that have been completed in major production plants through Interoperability, Information transparency, Technical assistance and Decentralized decision-making. Beyçelik-Gestamp Automotive Inc. (TUR) installation integrates new technologies into the production process and develops traditional technologies. Founded on cold confectionery, the company has become a structure that works on different technologies. Production in Beyçelik -Gestamp is carried out using a broad portfolio of technology and capabilities throughout the value chain. AC sheet preparation (slitting, painting) and G1line AK source (Punta robots, gas engines, action), Hot Confectionery Mold Production, Laser Cutting Technology Roll Form Mechanism and Stretch Bending with more than 3200 people on staff and with more than 100 research projects until today. Beyçelik-Gestamp has R&D centers those can work in cooperation with its customers those have CAD-CAE software and Measurement Devices necessary for development and production of new products in order to obtain higher performance. Studies on the development of steels with higher mechanical properties have encouraged Beyçelik-Gestamp to investigate the technologies required for the shaping and mounting of new generation materials.

PARTNER SEARCH The consortium is almost complete with all partners to provide different requirements through their expertise in software and hardware development, big data processing capabilities, smart manufacturing based on virtual/augmented reality for training and maintenance, industrial pilot opportunities in multiple manufaturing plants. However, we are still looking for certain capabilities to support our consortium for this SMART Call: Academia: Universities or Research Insitiutions for supporting the development of new Big Data analytics algorithms Companies: Internet of Things (IoT) providers - hardware suppliers for sensors or wearable computers 6
