allowance When I was little, I got an allowance each week for helping to set the table. Gina had been saving her allowance for months so she could buy her mother a birthday gift.

allowance * Would someone get an allowance for doing the dishes or for breaking them? What are some things that you might do at home to earn an allowance? What are some things you would like to spend your allowance on?

If something looks rosy, it looks pink.
