Splinting Four Principles of Splinting Can it be done without causing pain or discomfort. 2. Splint an injury in the position you find it. 3. Splint injured areas and the joint above and below the injury. 4. Check circulation before and after splint is applied.

Other Items used in splinting Cravat is a folded triangular bandage used to hold the dressing and/or splints in place
