Practice Midterm T4 of text: determine dominant device. Select and label examples from text you plan to use. 10-15 Minutes. Outline/Brainstorm: Create notes of explanations for each on separate paper and order them according to prominence/importance before writing. Draft assertion and check that examples are accurate to device in assertion. 10-15 minutes. Draft response: write your response. 50-60 minutes. Edit your response: Check assertion precision/concision. Correct grammatical construction and documentation of clauses. Spelling, grammar, punctuation. Re-check assertion one last time. Turn in: write your name. staple response on top, followed by outline, and then T4. Keep the rubric for the actual midterm. Take copy of symbolism presentation handout. Finish the novel speak tonight, paying close attention to the usage of your symbol.
