“Write Now” Use this class period to write your first draft. Your draft should be based on the prewriting we’ve done so far: Research outline Essay structure (see Do Now 5/19) Class Rubrics Writing Goal DRAFT = create paragraphs and essay structure based on pre-writing Write down Just get it out

4 DATE: AIM: How do we draft an explanatory essay based on our research outline? DO NOW: Turn and Talk… In your group, discuss what you discovered in your research last night that was: surprising? interesting? useful? What might be worth including in the group presentation? For your paper?
