Page Layout Tab Today we will be looking at the Page Layout Tab in Microsoft Excel 2007 This Tab has many new features that will let you change the look and feel of your Excel sheet especially from a printing perspective For our lesson today we will be using a Customer List Let us take a look at the data first

Themes are all about adding Pizzazz! Themes provide a unique and professional look to your Workbooks They can do this by using an assortment of font styles, color schemes and graphical effects First, you need to apply a little formatting to some of your data elements using Cell Styles – Home Tab We would like to use Heading 1 for Title and emphasize our column headings using Good Style Next we will select one of the Built-In Themes In a similar fashion, you can tweak the Theme Colors and Fonts

Page Setup Options First let’s switch to a Page Layout Next we will study Page Setup Options: Margins will control the white space around data Orientation switches between Portrait and Landscape Size lets you choose a specific type of paper Print Area allows you to print a certain portion Print Titles will let you carry the headings over to subsequent pages

Print Preview Lets discuss this for a few minutes We can walk through all the options using a demo

Scale to Fit This option will let you control the number of printed pages via Scale percent Under the Width or Height command, you can select number of pages This will change the formatting of for data to fit it on the specified number of pages Scale command lets you do the same however using a pecentage instead We will try to change our data to 1 page wide and 2 pages (height)

Sheet Options group The commands here let you control the gridlines and headings in your spreadsheet You can select or deselect them for View or Printing purposes We will try this on our customer data list
