Review findings More Specialisation Not a restrictive Option Choice Process All Curricular Areas still covered Specialisation = particular subjects in all areas of the curriculum.

Benefits Skills development – for Senior Phase and for life beyond school Deeper knowledge and understanding – but still retaining breadth Time – gives pupils greater contact time with their specialisation subjects and gives departments increased contact time with students – better prepared for study beyond S3 – Senior Phase. Personalisation and choice

Monitoring and Tracking Progress Tracking & Monitoring Reports will be produced 3 times per session. Timely and appropriate interventions by staff, at all levels, intend to help all young people reach their full potential. Staff, at all levels will intervene promptly and effectively if the progress of individuals is not maintained.
