WHETHER YOU THINK YOU CAN OR THINK YOU CANT YOU ARE RIGHT…… or are YOU?????

True or untrue not as important. We can organize thoughts in terms of their helpfulness: * helpful thoughts * helpful thoughts – are consistent with ones values and goals and facilitate values-congruent behavior * unhelpful thoughts * unhelpful thoughts – are inconsistent with ones values and goals and interfere with values- congruent behavior. Thoughts

Swinburne Take responsibility for your studies (1) You need to identify what is blocking your performance? (2) Is it temporary or is it permanent? (3) Can you change something in your life? (4) Perhaps you need to get some advice or support? 21

Swinburne A flyer is being handed around. 22 It tells you where you can go for support: *Academic *Advocacy *Computing *Counselling *Course Advice *Health and Well Being, and *Pastoral Care The second tool that you should go to is the online Self Analysis Tool It has been developed to help you to individually think about what is interfering with your studies. Your answers are confidential and not recorded. You also have an option to print it out and to develop a personalised Academic Progress Plan. If you havent already used the Tool – it was mentioned in your At Risk letter, I encourage you to use it.
