Literacy in Year 6 Structure of the writing Programme of Study Expectations with the Programme of Study Assessment levels ( emerging, expected, exceeding) Forms of assessment within and at the end of Year 6.

Literacy in Year 6 Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar (SPaG) Punctuation and grammar taught both discreetly and within context. Teaching of spelling: taught through a number of approaches. Assessment of SPaG: formative and summative.

Homework Weekly research based writing task. Spellings every week from end of September. Homework will appear on the website each Friday evening. Reading diaries checked weekly.
