What is an insect? Insects are… Arthropods (exoskeleton; skeleton on the outside of body) A segmented body (head, thorax, and abdomen) One pair of antennae Usually, have wings Six legs

Where to find them? On plants and trees In the dirt Under rocks or logs In rivers, streams, marshes, and the ocean In the sky On other animals And many more Insects live in many different ecosystems or habitats.
