Responses to participant feedback Kevin Abrams Geoff Ayton 17 Nov 2008

 The National Executive welcomes and appreciates your feedback.  We have tried to react wherever feasible.  We intend to provide regular updates on actions.

Topics for future coverage  RTA specification review - a working group is being formed; volunteers welcomed - key issues will be brought to future Forum  Recycled concrete - the larger issue of sustainability is listed for treatment in 2009  Mix design - various groups (incl RTA) are reviewing design procedures - topic is listed for coverage in 2009

Topics for future coverage  Manufactured sands - several industry groups are active (incl RTA) - listed for coverage in 2009  Diamond grinding - covered in Sept 8 Forum - listed for update at March 09 Forum  Common NCRs & accepted disposition - best initiated by Contractors - participants are asked to nominate the key issues

Topics for future coverage  Cold weather paving - listed for coverage at March 09 Forum  Research by State Road Authorities - listed for coverage during 2009  Maintenance - too broad a topic for full coverage - specific topics ?

Possible ASCP services  Web site - now completed and fully functional incl: - resources, bulletin board, useful links; - Powerpoints from Forum 1 - 3.  Professional development opportunities - clarification sought please  Retailing of books with member discounts - logistically challenging - volunteers ?

Possible ASCP services  Contact details for contractors & government departments - please clarify - all sponsors are listed on the ASCP website  A list of people who can answer questions ! - Professional Indemnity issues - not considered to be an ASCP function (at this stage)  Facilitate movement of junior engineers between public & private organisations - outside the role of ASCP

Possible ASCP services  Preferred contractor and product listings - ASCP is not in a position to do this, nor is it considered to be an appropriate role for ASCP.  Technical papers on the website - Kevin is considering the options, a few links exist already; - a time-consuming exercise, and a debatable ASCP function.

Logistics, venue etc  Microphones  Discussion time - points noted  Start/end times - requests vary widely  Microphones
