STATE DATA PROTECTION INSPECTORATE INDEPENDENCE independent national supervisory authority under the Article 114 of the Schengen Convention; individual line in the national budget of Lithuania; annually gives report on the activities to the Government. According to the Law on Legal Protection of Personal Data: is responsible for the supervision; discharging the functions shall be independent; state and municipal institutions, members of Parliament, other officials, political parties, other legal and natural persons have no right to exert any kind of pressure.
