Section 2: War Begins Battle of Bunker Hill – militia men built forts on Breeds Hill and British didn’t like that British climbed hill Militia attacked first Third try British won because British ran out of supplies

Section 3: Siege of Boston Washington led American Army Didn’t have enough guns and powder to attack Got help from friends who brought cannons Washington put cannons around Boston and the British left without bloodshed

Section 4: Toward Independence Olive Branch Petition – Congress sent a letter for peace and King George called them traitors Many people were very mad
