How long is it? 4-6page paper Formal cover (title page) Final outline 4 pages means at least 5 lines on the fifth page Formal cover (title page) Final outline Works Cited page Works Consulted page

What’s the topic? Choose something that interests you, but know little about Choose something you don’t like Choose some future career possibility Don’t agonize over decision Start broad, narrow your topic

Only one topic per student Approve Topic with me! Only one topic per student

What do I need? – Works Cited Minimum of five sources in Works Cited and documented with parenthetical attribution Minimum of five additional sources skimmed for ideas, offered as Work Consulted for further information

Where do I go? Check SDLN MHS Library Internet (only 2 websites allowed) Allowed articles from Internet a inter-library loan (extra credit) One article from encyclopedia (online or bound) No sources older than 2000
