Acute care St Mary’s Hospital in Newport has the Island’s only emergency department 246 beds in total Around 23,000 admissions every year Services include emergency medicine and surgery, planned surgery, intensive care, maternity, neonatal intensive care and paediatrics

Community services Working in patients’ homes, in community settings and from St Mary’s Hospital Services include district nursing, health visiting, community nursing, primary dental care, orthotics and inpatient and community stroke rehabilitation

Mental health services Providing inpatient and community based care Around 1,300 patients with 50 dedicated beds, covering child and adolescent mental health Tier 3 community based drug and alcohol services, early intervention in psychosis, memory therapy, and outreach into residential and nursing homes

Ambulance services An Integrated Care Hub Provide all emergency and non-emergency ambulance transport for the Island Respond to over 24,000 incidents each year Also transport patients to mainland hospitals when needed

Stuart Browne - Clinical Specialist & Deputy Principal Physiotherapist Graduated from The University of Southampton in 2000 BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy Clinical Specialist & Deputy Principal Physiotherapist IW NHS Trust Physiotherapy Service 70 + members of staff Island wide, covering acute inpatients, community rehab, paediatrics, orthopaedics, stroke and neuro rehab, learning disability, musculoskeletal outpatients… Band 5 are rotational posts over 6 months. Covering medical, surgical, orthopaedics, rehab, stroke and MSK. Dedicated in service training by area, and by band.
