(A dependent clause FOLLOWED by an independent clause that requires a comma separating them) Even though I was watching it closely, I burned dinner. X = Introductory Clause or Phrase a = Aside ec = Ending Clause (Information before the main subject and verb) Regretably, I burned dinner. (An interruption in a sentence that is not necessary information) X = Introductory Clause or Phrase a = Aside ec = Ending Clause I burned dinner, which was regretable, even though I was watching it closely.
