A unique single entry point to excellence in agri-food research

The N8 Research Partnership 8 most research-intensive universities in the North of England Working with universities, industry and society, N8 aims to maximise the impact of this research base for greater economic and social benefit

Together, the N8 universities have: more than 370 researchers working in agri-food resilience the greatest concentration of academics engaged in agri-food research in the UK a portfolio of >£269 million of agri-food research funding significant research facilities including six research farms, extensive glass-houses, workshops, laboratories, GM handling, organic / conventional, genome editing etc. Combining expertise in: Soil health Plant biology Crop improvement Biofuels and bioenergy Weed, pest and disease management Livestock health and well-being Human and animal nutrition Big data acquisition and analytics Consumer behaviour and diet choice Food processing and product innovation Globalisation and resilient food supply chains Fair trade and food economics Modelling and simulation of food supply networks Waste and resource management Breadth and capacity of expertise - build relationships with N8 AgriFood, don’t need to contact each academic directly.
